Logos can be designed in Adobe Photoshop (CS3 on the older PCs, CS6 on the newer ones), Adobe After Effects (CS3 on the older PCs, CS6 on the newer ones), Adobe Indesign (CS6 on the newer PCs), Adobe Fireworks (CS3 on the older PCs, CS6 on the newer ones) and other programs too.  Use youtube tutorials such as the ones below to guide you through the process:
